Sarah, a woman of 20 is going to be most likely not adopted but wanted as a wife or girlfriend, or unfortunately even abused for sex. I'm so sorry that you never got a real childhood with real love and happiness. I think the closest you will get to that kind of family is a job as a nanny. The right kind of family will appreciate you and include you. If you have college and training for a career, forgive me for assuming otherwise.

Hi, cruzoe/Sarah! Welcome to our site.

Have you been trained for a job? Do you work, maybe in data entry? Tell us more about yourself.

Usually people aren't adopted once they are 18 and older, but please feel free to post more here and allow us to get to know you better.

You need to look at moving forward, not as a child but as a grown women. While you can be adopted, it will not be from people who do not know you. It would be from a family that you may know and have known for years and will wish to make you part of their family.

At this point, finding a job, making friends, and starting a family of your own, may be correct goals.

When you marry, you will be "adopted" into the family of your husband.

In the meantime, please look at making your life fulfilling to yourself, and perhaps look into mentoring another young girl who is like you were, growing up in a group home with no family.
