    Shampoo for color treated hair
Hey, I have a quick question. I dye my hair red - it's more of an orange/copper color, really. I do it myself, but when I had it done in a salon a few months ago, the woman who did it sold me the Aveda shampoo/conditioner for copper hair, which is really good for keeping the color in but really dries my hair out. It's very thick and weighs my hair down a lot. Since then, I've tried Pantene for redheads, which is terrible and does absolutely nothing but deposit too much product in my hair, and John Freida for redheads, which did nothing and was really expensive. Should I be using shampoo/conditioner specifically for redheads since red fades faster than anything else? Or should I just find a good set for color treated hair in general?

Color enhancing shampoos are used to brighten up your existing color. If you want to enhance your hair, then you can use color enhancing products. To keep your color from fading, use a shampoo and conditioner designed for color treated hair.
