    Assault charge- No criminal record?
2 months ago my husband and I got into an argument, under the influence of alcohol. I attempted to leave in my car, but he chased after me and took my keys. I just wanted to leave the situation as quickly as possible. After he snatched my keys and started running away I grabbed him and his shirt ripped. I went inside and laid down to watch t.v. He came back 30 minutes later and everything was calm. 2 hours later the cops arrived and said it was required they arrest someone; they arrested me. Apparently he has called the police shortly after taking my keys.

Currently, I am not allowed alcohol, I am not aloud communication with my husband, or entrance into my house. Is there anything I can do to enhance my chances of coming out of this without a criminal record? My job requires a Police check yearly, and up until now I have no criminal history so far as assaults are concerned. I am free willingly beginning an alcohol counselling course within the week and a PAR course later in the month. Again, if there is any advice you might be able to share, please help me.

    Thank you very much.

Who says you can't drink, who says you can not communicate with husband ?

Have you been to court ? Have you plead guilty or took some form of plea agreement ?

If you have taken a plea or been found guilty you will have a police record

Hire a good attorney to help you on this one as you can't possibly do this right yourself in court.
