What is wrong with my rabbit?
Well, he has not been himself since yesterday afternoon. He normally bounces round his cage and eats his food straight up and is one of the happiest rabbits I know. But since yesterday he has not eaten and just drank and there is no urine or feaces in his cage and he has just sat in one place all day. We are going to ring the vet when my parents get back but I just wanted a rough idea of what people think he has.

    Thanks

I am no rabbit expert, but I do know when a rabbit stops eating, it's deadly. What foods are you feeding him now? You definitely need to call the vet asap! Don't wait for your parents, call them now and ask if there is something you can do to help until you can bring him in.

I agree with Aurora. I was told by a bunny expert that rabbits always need food available. Even when they go in for surgery they are not to be fasting.
Call your vet and let them know what is going on and when you can bring him in. They may have some things for you to try until you can get him there.

I wanted to post this as my bunny expert friend told me this. If your bunny goes off his food GET TO THE VET. Bunnies need to eat and drink and one day without can be dangerous.

Thanks for the answers. Vet said there was nothing overally wrong with him apart from maybe he was just feeling a bit under the weather. He was back to himself the next day as if nothing had happened.

Oh good glad to hear everything is okay. Bunnies are tricky little guys, they like to hide their sickness, and once they start showing signs of being sick, it's usually too late. Thanks so much for updating us!

We can't tell you what is wrong with your bunny. All the above advice still stands, get him to the vet asap.

My bunny expert friend has told me when a rabbit goes off his food it is important to get them to the vet fast. They hide sickness so well.

Just make sure your bunny drinks and doesn't get dehydrated water is the most important and get to the vet as soon as you can. My bunny keeps falling over and I took him to the vet but still don't know what's wrong,we are waiting for the tests results. Thumper is his name

Water is important, but food is even more so. A rabbits digestive system is unique. A rabbit that doesn't eat daily will quickly die.
