    Painting Identification
Hi, Many years ago I was given a painting by a very old friend. It now hangs on the wall at home. Over the years we have wondered what it is called and if it is genuine.
It depicts a country laneway lined by forrest. At the end of the lane is a gate with a wheat field beyond. The gate is open and sheep are going through pushed along by a dog. On the other side of the field is a village. There is a small boy asleep beside the lane it appears he may be a shepard.
The picture measures about 2' x 2.5'. It's an oil painting.
    Can someone please help.

'Genuine' means real paint, and also not a forgery (copying another artist is fine if the painter uses his own style). Only you know if it's oil, and we can't know if it's a copy without seeing it. Since it isn't signed, it's just a nice painting done by someone who had no interest in being famous.
