We have a Maytag Ensignia Dryer model mde4658ayw. I turned the dryer on today and it ran for about 15 seconds and then turned itself off... this happens on regular drying or auto drying.. Any ideas?

The dryer is very dirty. You need to totally tear it down and clean it out. It is a common problem with all dryers which need cleaning at least every two years. DrTom4444
