    Harbor Breeze Remote Control Fan?
I have two fans with remotes in one room. Is it possible to control them separately. One is over the Kitchen and one over the dinning table. We don't always want them on at the same time. Currently one remote is working both fans at the same time. Thanks Richard

    Richard,

This is a simple fix if both the remote and the receiving unit in the fan are "Switch Selectable".

Look on the remote, you should see a block of about four switches.

They will all be in one direction either up or down.

Here's what you do. Leave one fan unchanged. On the other fan, change the switch settings to Up-Down-Up-Down.

Now set the switches in the same manner on the receiving unit in the fan.

This will changer the frequency selection on the 2nd. Fan.

Don's correct so I hope you still have both remotes. I am sure there are fans with 4 dip switches but I regularly see them with up to 7 switches. Ceiling fan remote controls - help and FAQ- Ceiling Fans N More
