    Wirelss connection
Why is it that my Acer laptap cannot get internet connection right away when I am in the kitchen or bedroom and if I do it will loose the connection and I have to wait again for connection by moving around. I have to wait to get internet connection from kitchen facing outside the house but very poor connection while facing inside the house. My router is in the basement.

Simply put the number of walls that a wireless signal has to pass through seriously degrades the performance of your connection.
To alleviate this relocate your router to nearer the middle of your house.

You might want to reposition your router somewhere in the same floor level. Poor signal strength owing to the wave nature traveling horizontally rather than vertical.
