Most of the cold water line valves underneath the sinks and toilets in my house keep popping out. What can be causing the pressure to build up all the time? There is really no rhyme or reason when it happens but sometimes the valves will pop out one after the other. Sometimes the cold water has to be turned on so the valve can be pushed in. Do I need to replace the valves? I appreciate any help and for your time.

Any chance you can post a picture of your valve, this doesn't sound right " valve can be pushed in"

A picture is attached. This is the water line stop valve installed underneath all the sinks and toilets in my house. Not sure of the correct terminology but they pop out to shut the water supply off. They are pushed in so the water can flow.

Sorry but I am not going to be much help with those, we do not use or have them.

JTorr, like Bob, I'm unfamiliar with these valves but I would invest in a hose bib pressure gauge and check the water pressure. Good luck

I have seen these valves used on pex pipe and have seen them work up to 50lbs pressure. Check your pressure as been said before and if the pressure is too high and you don't have a pressure regulator, install one or if you do you can adjust the water pressure down. 35-40lbs should work. If they are not on pex pipe and are on copper pipe I would replace them with 1/4 turn commpression valves.
