This site will help you troubleshoot this dryer: http://www.do-it-yourself-washing-machine-and-dryer-repair-help.com/Whirlpool-gas-dryer-not-heating.html
It has an igniter that will shut down when the dryer gets full of lint build-up which hardens on the inside like cement. You have to tear it down totally and scrape it out and wash out the parts like the door assembly and air ducts. Then you need to find the safety fuse that may have blown and check it with an ohm meter; if it's bad you will have to replace it. Go to YouTube to see a video on how to tear it down. It's easy to do. DrTom4444
