    Wondering if he can do this
    I was married for 31 years the judge court ordered my ex to pay me 1.200 a month, my ex was put on long term disabiilty and was remarried he decided to stop paying me my alimony on his own I than got a loan to hire an attorney.. He also hired one.. his lawyer was able to throw out the cotempt order from courts cause he paid some money still in the rears 1.800 and another 600.00 next week... I was served with a discovery by his attorney I became ill in 2009 with congestive hear failure 22 percent of my heart fuctioning the only med records I have are from 2009 I go to court the ninth next week I thought if I went to a clinic I go to that I could have doctor write me a referral to county for cardioligist and also say my conditions in a letter will that help me?My lawyer said it would cause they will want to know why I didn't work... my ex owns 3 homes and is receiving rent from all 3 homes also his new wife is on ssi and receiving 850.00 a month so he has that extra income I have no other income any advice will help.. To add I was married at age 16 31 years... I also am entitled to his retirement judge ordered and he has been at his job for 42 yrs any advice will help ty

    You have a lawyer; use him. And yes of course go to court with all the ammunition you can get, medical records and financial records. But heed the warning about not working for 31 years; that's a long time to get alimony, even if you raised children, and not try to supplement it with a job before your heart problems.

    Who has been suporting you over the last 2 years if you haven't worked and if you have a grave medical condition why haven't you seen a doctor in 2 years?

    Have you applied for disability yet? With your disabiity you should be able to b e approved in a few months vs years. The sooner you apply, the sooner you will be approved.
