My fiancé violated his parole in Louisiana for being in a bar. He's been in jail for 2 weeks now. I am just wondering what is the minimum and maximum time he could spend in there? I am pregnant and the baby is due in the next week or two. Do you think he will get out by then?

Has he had other violations prior to this ?
What was the crime he did to be on probation

It is average to spend 2 weeks to about 6 weeks in jail waiting for a hearing. Then he could be sentenced up to the probation time that was in his sentence. Normally this does not happen, but he could be given a couple of months to serve, it is up to the judge.

I would start making plans on not having him at the birth

He has never had any other violations before this one. He did 5 years for attempted sexual battery and has been out of prison since May 25th, 2010. He was on parole until February 25th, 2012. His parole officer told me that there would be no hearing, that the parole board would just decide when they got the paper work in.
