How to get a parole detainer lifted ?
You will have a detainer because you voilated your parole and your parole officer issued you to be picked up or held if already in jail for some other reason.
You will have to appear before the judge and jurisdiction over this parole and have a hearing on it. Your attorney can make a motion to have it removed but most likely they will have you in for a hearing to see if they are going to revolk your parole and send you pack to prison.
I have had a detainer against me on a parole violation. I called my parole officer up and asked her to lift it, because I didn't commit the offense I was held for. 6 days after I was in prison, my parole detainer was magically gone from the prison's system and I was able to bail out on the said offense.
So you don't need a hearing to have it lifted. It is up to the parole department to lift the detainer or not, unless you request a probation/parole violation hearing.
You can request your probation/parole officer to have the said detainer lifted on the case you are on probation/parole on.
Or you can have your public defender or attorney petition for bail on your detainer (Certain jurisdictions do not allow that), and you can post bail on the probation/parole detainer and post bail on your new criminal case (If you have a new case, if not, you can bail out on Technical Violation detainers also).
