My friend who is a Singapore PR was recently caught shoplifting in Fairprice. She actually took only Yakult and baby cream but was also carrying things worth 100$ which she had it with her. She was taken to the police station and was charged for all the things she had with her as she did not have a receipt with her to prove that those were not taken in the same shop. During interrogation, she also admitted she had previously taken a bottle of Yakult from the same shop some days ago. She is now so remoseful of what she has done and is almost undergoing sleepless nights. She is now out in bail, and the IO officer has asked her to come back in 2 weeks. Can somebody please tell me what will happen to her? She is right now undergoing so much of stress but at work and home.. Though this doesn't justify to what she has done. Can somebody please advice.

Tell her to get an attorney to handle this for her ASAP.

What happen to her?same of what happened to my friend,she went to the shop with the baby and plan to buy baby stuff because they will going overseas the next day,she took a cosmetics only worth $30++,without thinking she put it inside her bag but no zipper,after that she walked to the counter and pay all except the things she put ibside the bag,she got a lucky draw and she signed it outside and join,then the lady asked her if she took some cosmetics she said yes and she forgot to pay and tell to the lady she will pay it its just that she only forgot to pay it.. it seems very doubtful but really forgetful even before.. is there any chance for her to be out of bail and give only a warning?
