How do I get a guy to be my boyfriend?
This thread was merged and edited with her others/T

Okay well there is this guy in my class, I really like him and I have known him for like 9 years now and we have gotten to be really good friends, and we happen to have lots in common and get along really good. And I have started to really like him. But he doesn't seem to get the hints that I like him.

Plus all the other girls are major flirts with him. Please I need some good advice. How do I get this guy to be my boyfriend?

At risk of making things awkward, just talk deliberately and directly to him. Tell him, "I like you, I want to do date you", and see what he says and pay attention to his body language, too.

    What do guys look for?
Okay so I need an honest opinion here, what do guys actually look for in a girl be honest. And when girls talk to guys on face book or msn or something do they like it when they are silly and say (Heeey! :P) or just say Heey. I need lots of answers please.

Since I don't think that you are asking what we think of women physically I submit the following.

For me; sincereity, open honest communication, intelligence, funny, understanding, sometimes some empathy, honesty, wanting to learn, possibility commitment, fun, enjoying my interests also, sincerity, compatibility, to name only a few...

Of course I would like to add that these also apply to the guy.

My gut tells me to look for hesitation, if he looks away, scratches his neck, and takes a minute to respond, he's not interested. Conversely, if he smiles and doesn't look away, he's interested.

Let's see... I like a sense of humor. Someone who is easy going. Someone who can do some things for themselves. Someone who is honest, open, and "bright".

As far as the FB part of your question... I often like silly as that shows a good personality.

Aside from being my type, she has to be a good listener, independent, and she has to keep me wanting her, that is, she can't be needy and drive me away.

If all the other girls are flirting with him, chances are he's enjoying himself just the way he is - unattached. He may very possibly know that you 'like' him more than a little, since you say you have hinted, and he's being nice about not saying anything.

One way you could sort of ask him is in a group walking down the hall while a gaggle of girls is all around him. Say, hey Joe, do any of us regular girls ever stand a chance with a guy like you? And then laugh and keep walking.
