    Car auctions
I wanted to start to buy cars that are either crash or not working well from car auctions and sell them for profit. I just haven't found the right website that won't scam or over charge. Can anyone give me good websites and information on how to get started?

Do you have a state permit/license to sell autos ?
Most areas of the US have local auctions of similar cars.

Where do you live? In most states you are only allowed to title and sell a limited number of vehicles per year unless you are a dealer like Fr_Chuck is directing you. You never buy a car from an auction on a website unless you want to lose money. Show up at an auto auction yard like Chicago Auto Auction | Car Auctions Chicago | Public Auction | and see how it works, learn the ropes. Maybe even a Police auto auction. Personally I don't see much of a profit in this compared to simply working as a mechanic.

My son travels to some areas, like chicago and denver and goes to dealer only sales ( not internet that is open to anyone)
And gets great deals on fancy cars, HIGH END. And does well selling them as a hobby.

There are police auctions and auctions of departments like city trucks, or forestry department. But most of those are in person and you have to go there in person.
