Period VERY late and negative tests?
I am 30 yrs old & healthy. 3 daughters. My last period was July 6.. I am currently 26 days late & on cycleday 55 of an average 28 day cycle. This is very unusual for me. The day I was expected 2 get my period (Aug 3) I had some awful cramping & then some brown spotting that evening... the spotting lasted a few days & was only there when I wiped. Ive since had lower back pain, nausea, lots of cramping on & off, sore & itchy nipples, headaches, dizziness.. etc. I seen a nurse @ my doctors office when I was 16 days late & she did a urine pregnancy test that came up negative so she said I was def not pregnant & if I didn't start next month 2 come c the dr. Ive done a total of about 7-8 hpt and all but 1 that was a faint positive have come up negative. The faint positive result I got was before I went to the dr. I don't know what could be the problem... could I still be pregnant & ust not showing up positive? With my other pregnancies I got a positive result by 5 weeks pregnant... I'm starting 2 think I'm crazy

Wait until your next period is due. If you skip that one then go back to your doctor, do another test, but ask for a more definitive blood test.

It's possible that you are pregnant, the one positive would suggest that you are. False negatives happen much more often then false positives.

Every pregnancy is different. Every woman is different. There are women that have gone their entire pregnancy without ever getting a positive result on a home pregnancy test.

Sadly, all you can do is wait, keep on top of it, talk to your doctor. There's really nothing we can do.
