Family of mine sold a home that was part of an estate. It has been 6 +months and we have not received and payment as of yet. Is there a time when the monies must be distributed. We are waiting on this so we can finalize the Estate.

Was there other property the estate has to close out,

Was there debts the estate had to pay from the sell of the house, hospital bills, funeral bills.

The estate gets the money the day the closing happens,

If there is no other bills and this is the last activity, about two week after the sale you would have gotten your money.
