    Dark brown/red discharge freaking out!
I'm 17 and I am sexually active. I've had this dark brown/red blood/discharge? I've had it for almost 2 months now and I don't know what to do. O was thinking its just my birth control which is, the impalon, the match stick on your arm, but I've had that for two years now. I did have an infection in my pee about 2-3 weeks ago could it be that? It does not itch really, it's a moderate to heavy flow Im just scared I don't k.ow what to do without telling my mom. Please give me some kind of answer! Thanks

You need to stop freaking out and go back to the doctor. He may have to remove your implant or make some other adjustment for you.

I know this probably doesn't help, but it could be lots of things. It could be your birth control although you have been taking it for a while. It could be some sort of infection. When was your last period, and are you regular? You say the discharge is red/brown is it everyday? Could you be pregnant? Can you do some research on the internet, maybe on a health site? But sweetie, your best bet is to go to the doctor who can examine you do some test if necessary.

I agree with the others here. The doctor will not judge you because he has seen everything you think he hasn't, and he couldn't care less about any moral issues. He is not there to judge you, but to make you healthy again. If you think you have a disease you can also go to the local health department for tests. Don't hesitate to do this if there is any reason to think you caught something. Time is never on your side. DrTom4444
