    Over head service replacement
I have a home for sale and the loan inspector wants the service drop raised. (is less than 10') I would like to permit and inspect ONLY the meter housing and mast rather than change the entire service. Not looking to give the buyer a full service change with arc-fault breakers etc. Is it legal to permit and inspect this? The panel is back to back with the meter housing. This is in Aurora CO.

Should not be a problem. A permit can cover whatever work is done, unless there are any preexisting conditions that do not meet current code. Those will need to be updated.

Thanks tkrussell, I guess the issue is, as long as the meter housing has a bypass and the mast is supported correctly the inspector won't care about what is in the panel right? Cause it's not bull dog or fpe or zinsco or any of the older problematic brands, it's Square-D Q.O.

The inspector will look at the panel, and grounding , it should be fine, but any issues found he may want repaired.
