How long did it take you to love your step children?

I have been in a long distance relationship for almost two years (different countries), but had my partner's kids (4y/o and 6 y/o) for a visit twice, 2 months length each time, and after that, it was so hard on me I felt apprehension instead of love :(

Is that really normal or should I break up?

Who says you ever have to "love" them, you treat them proper and give them respect. But two months is a visit or vacation and they knew and you knew they were going home.

If they were living full time with you, and where there for a couple years, you will either love or put up with them.
