Just installed new ceiling fan and now electrical "popping" in the wall and switch?
I just replaced a ceiling fan with a new one. It had the Black, Red, White and green wires. I hooked up everything correctly and it powered on both with the light and fan. However, there is a crackling or popping sound coming from the inside of a certain area of the wall and sometimes from the light switch. The sound is very low and almost didn't hear it but it continuously pops when power is ON. Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated

I think your light switch went bad. You need to change this switch out otherwise you your wiring is toast. The longer you leave this turned on the more damage it does. What could be a cheap switch fix could turn into an expensive rewiring fee. Something very similar happened in my kitchen after a ightening strike fried my switch and blew out my coffee maker. A new switch fixed my popping problem to the hanging chandelier in the kitchen.
