I have a large painting (canvas or 'painters board'?)8' high by about 4'wide.
The scene appears to be a tranquil average day in a Dutch town. The picture is of a canal where people are wearing DUTCH hats and clothes and traveling via the canal. People are looking out windows etc.
The painting came to me from a friend many years ago ( I was to babysit it while she settled in another State)! It was supposed to be valuable so she warned me not to 'get rid of it'
We lost touch, and it became mine I guess. 30 years have gone by we have lost touch, and everyone in the
Family hates it (except me!) so I am deciding whether to get rid of it.
The painting (More like a mural)! Is signed by Frank Rochelle.
It came from the home of my friends boss, who gave it to her when he sold
The farm. He told her he paid a LOT of money for it, and it was by a semi-famous artist
And would one day be valuable.
The 'boss' was the wealthy owner of a horse farm in N. Central Florida.
Before the horse industry took a 'dive'!
Before I sell it at a 'garage sale' I would like to know something about
The artist, and the value... can you help me out ?
