I live in NY, and have a 1987 moble home that I have been talk does not need a title, but how do you show ownership. We had a foold and lost the purchase paperwork, so where do I go to show get something to prove this is mine? Thank you

I will assume you bought it from someone, who did you buy it from ? Was it a dealer and if so, will they have a record.

After this if you lost all records of buying it, and did not record the puchase and did not get a title to the home, you have no way to prove you own it.

In fact, did you go to the DMV and check to see if the home had a title, before you bought it?

Take the S/N with you if you go to the DMV. It is located on the steel plate near the corner edge down near the bottom of the home.

Of course if there are titles, this may well prove someone else owns it
