    Rheem criterion II.
When we go to turn on our fan or AC, the unit will kick on and then it starts to go but then it stops and is making a loud humming noise. The blower is not turning. I have tried to push the blower when it is on, but it goes for just a half a second and stops. Does anyone know what I need to fix or replace.
    Thanks

Well, could be as simple as a capacitor, but usually when the cap is bad, and you give the blower wheel a push, the blower will run. What sounds more likely, is that the blower motor is bad. So, you can get a new matching capacitor, and if that doesn't fix the issue, you will need to get a new motor, and another new capacitor that matches the motor requirements. I know, sounds like getting a new cap just to find that you need a new motor and another cap seems outrageous, but capacitors usually only run between 5 and fifteen dollars, so you won't be out much as far as caps go.
