Condominium Owner created water damage by using shower with bad shower pipe connection to the unit bath facet.
Because this pipe located outside the unit, the owner's layer and claim representative considering this as a HOA problem. Please advise.

Does your unit have its own water heater or is there a water heater / boiler in common for hot water ?

I'm living in the 3 story condominium complex. We have central water heater. We have common vertical pipes located within the walls with outlets to the units. This damage has been created by bad connection of the shower pipe that is commented owner facet to the shower head. It is located outside the shower wall (in the common area) and therefore owner refusing to fix the problem

Please describe location of problem. Is it after the water comes out of wall? Is the connection where the tenant put on a shower head? We don't have a clear picture and cannot know who is at fault. DrTom4444

Each owner has bath tab with bath tab facet. In order to use shower in the bath, there is a pipe connected from the facet to the shower head going up from the facet to t shower head. Per common design this pipe is located behind the wall and only shower head is visible from the unit.
The water damage was the result of lose connection of the shower pipe to the facet (was invisible for owner).
Based on the fact that this pipe located outside the unit internal perimeter, owner claims that this is HOA responsibility.
