I'm 19 and she's 18 we have a wonderful relationship and have been dating for about 6 months she says she wants to have sex but she will not. We have came close a couple of times, but as soon as I get in she freaks out pushes me away. Also there has been plenty of times that she has said she was ready. What do I do

What do you do? You stay patient. If you care for her you will respect her wishes. It's possible that something happened to her when she was younger, or maybe she wishes to save her virginity for marriage, or even more possible that she is not ready to be a mother so young.

Have you tried talking to her about this? Communication in relationships is VERY important.

You back the heck off on the sex thing. Stop making that a goal--for EITHER of you.

When she's REALLY ready, it will happen.

She may THINK she's ready, or she may just be SAYING she is ready so that you don't leave. But either way, she's not really ready. So... stop thinking of it as even an option. Enjoy the foreplay and stop thinking that foreplay HAS to lead to sex---it doesn't, you know.

And--you've only been dating 6 months. Have you had conversations (when NOT in bed) about STDs and about how you both feel about unplanned pregnancies? All it takes is ONCE to get pregnant, and that may be a large part of her fears.

And before you start about birth control--I got pregnant on THREE forms of birth control, using them correctly, the second time I had sex.

I think it is too early in your relationship to worry about sex, honestly.

She isn't ready to have sex. No matter how close you are and no matter how much you love each other, that is HER business, not YOURS. She will let you know when she is ready IF she ever does decide to have sex with you.

But I will tell you one thing, you make a big deal out of this and push her and bother her about it, she WILL leave, andi doubt you would ever see her again.

As others has said... live with it... or move on. SHe isn't and shouldn't do anything until SHE is ready to do it. She has the common sense to know babies are a posible result of even one sexual encounter... and she knows the odds you would still be around to raise it are slim to none if that happened. Otherwise you would have already been married to each other.

That line between trying to be convincing and actual date rape can be really hard to see until its too late.

And pushing her too hard on it might just get you some years in a prison cell with a big dude that makes you be his prison girlfriend.

Here's a hint... if she's ready... she'll tell you.
