Okay, so my best guy friend has an issue, this chic told him she loved him. She said she would kill herself if he didn't feel the same. So he told her he did. They got closer and everything. Blah blah blah... Soo then she started posting stuff on Facebook and twitter about things, and someone else. She stopped talking to him. So he broke down. He fell in love with her too. She just randomly started talking about someone else. Now he's crying about it and he's depressed. What made her do that? Did she just "play" him or something? I know he won't get over it.

Who knows why she did it. Young and stupid? Crazy? Immature? Just not really that into him? Only she knows why.

And yes, he will to get over it. Maybe not for a while. But he will get over it. All you can do right now is be there for him as a friend. Find things to do-movies, games, sports, anything to keep him busy and his mind off her. Breakups aren't fun at any age, but this probably won't be the last time he goes through it. Most of us end up going through at least a few lousy breakups.

He will get over it, this is not your issue, and your job is to stay away and let him deal with it so that time can properly heal your friend.
