Do some guys actually accept a breakup?
Are there any situations where you would accept a breakup instead of begging/crying/pleading?

If so, what are they? I'm breaking up with my boyfriend and I want to be as straightforward as possible so he will accept it. He's mature and I'm certain he will but yet there's still that fear because of past experiences.

    Thank you.

Some guys are more emotional than others so just be straight with him, and get it over with.

Don't judge him by what others have done, as most of us guys just say OKAY, THANKS FOR THE GOOD TIME, and disappear. Why do you choose emo guys?

You tell him, that's all you can do.
His reactions are his,not something you can control.

It is better to just do it, and get it over with. At least you aren't just telling him you 'need a break', only to break his heart later on because what you really want is just out of the relationship.

The more honest the better, without giving false hope, or hints that it may work out at some later time, or that you want to remain in his life as a friend.

I would just keep it simple, straight forward and honest.

    Best of luck to you.

You may care for him, but the point is, you don't want to be with him.

    Right?

Honesty is the best policy. No matter when.

Yeah, he's going to be hurt. But, this is your decision.

    Not if. Later.

Stand your ground if this is what you want. Don't play him further.
