My boyfriend of 2years and I just decided to take a break in our relationship because we weren't sure where our relationship was headed. I told him he was free to see other people. And then I met this guy, who was a friend of mine from high school who had moved to China to study for 5 years, and had recently just moved back. And we really hit it off, and in a month we had become so in love. But the thing is that I still love the other guy. Is it possible for me to love two guys at the same time, or what?

Of course it's possible to love more than one.

If you feel that is the case, though, you have a tough decision to make.

If you're in it for the long haul, you'll have to choose between them.

And doing so sooner rather than later is best.

Just my humble opinion.

It's possible to love more than one person at the time, but you do need to make a decision on who you want to be with, so that you don't lead the other person on.

If you feel like you cannot make a decision yet, then back away from both guys so that you can clear your mind without their influence so that you can figure out what you want.

You must have had good reason to take a 'break' with your boyfriend, and agree to see other people. That sounds more like a breakup than a break to me. If you had each decided on a break, but to remain faithful and try together with a bit of distance, to figure out problems, and reflect on where the relationship was going, that is one thing. But, to call a breakup a break- I don't think that's what this is.

You were in love with man #1, and are still in love with him, but the relationship didn't work out, or you would not be with man #2.

Did you decide on a break before or after your friend returned from China.

If you have two men on the go, each with expectations- #1 may not think that you have broken up as you're supposed to just be on a break, and #2- if he feels the same way toward him as you do to him, there is only one thing you can do to be honest with yourself, and these men.

Make a decision one way or the other.

You can love many people at the same time, as long as you are honest with them ALL. Once you commit to one though, then you are bound by the boundaries of good behavior, and it's a good rule of thumb to treat all the way you want to be treated.

Honesty is the difference between a player/user, and a person who has good clean fun. Now don't expect everyone to agree, or respect the way you do things. That's the chance you take with being honest.

If they cannot, that's their problem not yours.
