Collection Agency May Not Use Force...
    Hi There,
I am sorry that you are having trouble with your finances.
I think that I can at least partially answer your question.
A collection agency usually gets paid according to how many
Outstanding accounts that they collect. It is against the law for
Them to harass you at home or at work. They will send what I like to call "nasty-grams" DEMANDING payment before they take FURTHER action.
It has been my experience that these folks are not interested in any type
Of payment arrangements no matter how bad off you are financially. A collection agency can and will investigate you and your situation to see if
They would profit from suing you in court. If you have any liquid assets that look good to them they can and probably will take you to court one day.
In order to save your future credit I would suggest that you pay off this account as soon as possible. In the future, you could remember that as long as you are making an attempt to pay, even $1 per month may save you from
Getting turned over to these nasty little folks.

    Much luck,
    Amy
