I've had an AOC monitor connected to my MacBook Pro for 18 months - all working fine until recently. Laptop recognises the AOC but won't allow access to it. Thought it was the monitor so have tried with a brand new Acer monitor, same problem. Recognises the Acer, but won't allow me to access/use it. New/different cables - all fine. So must be the MaBook? Please help??

Check the connector between the laptop and the display cable they often develop shorts
