How do I run my air conditioner with solar panels?
I would like to figure out how to install solar panels that would power only my ac. How can I do this and would it be extremely expensive?

Yes to all counts. First you need the panels, a storage device, an inverter since SP's produce DC, a control panel and it will only work when sunny. Could be very cloudy, hot and humid, no power. Cheapest thing is to upgrade SEER, R-30+ insulation in attic, use ceiling fans and turn the temp up a degree or 2

Solar is not even remotely close to a DIY project. Especially an array big enough to power an A/C system.

How experienced are you at installing solar systems?

I used to work for a solar installation company for about two years but I was simply there drafter and 3D modeler. I have relocated and thus am looking into learning more on the actuall installs and how to understand the electrical language so to speak.

Yes you can, it is as effortless as this:

    Install the photo voltaic panels
Hook the DC output with the photo voltaic panels as a lot as a DC to AC inverter
Plug your oxygen conditioner to the DC to AC inverter
Wa LA you possess a photo voltaic paneled oxygen conditioner.

Be conscious that you just will need to make certain that you just have sufficient photo voltaic energy to operate the oxygen conditioner.

jsgsjs-you might want to look at the post again. This is an AIR conditioner and you cannot just plug that kind of a load into a solar panel.
