What gets me first... her presence or personality.

Why? All the looks in the world are worthless if she has an abrasive character to her... and the right attitude can make whatever she has more appealing.

Beauty is skin deep... and as hot as she might be at 18 or 19... odds are she's not going to be nearly as hot at 50 or 60. But a great personality is forever.

I'd have to agree with smoothy.

I might be initially attracted to a girl because of something else (physical appearance), but what decides whether I am going to ask her out again or not is completely her personality.

I like a girl who is confident without being full of herself. I also like "old-fashioned" girls, girls with morals and self-worth.

I may not be a man, but I will tell you what I look for in a woman. I like confidence. I like when they have a fiery spirit and are fun, outgoing, and funny without being obnoxious. She has to make me laugh too.

Physically: Clean, not too much makeup, does not dress in a slattern manner, takes care of herself (hygiene) , and a little on the heavy side.

It depends on the person who is looking... some like curve, some do not etc etc. And we end up saying "wow she is hot" and move on from that place. In the end her personality makes the boy wanting to go back to her more and more.

Ask 10 different people and get 12 answers.

It is stages to be honest. First is almost definitely physical attraction. I look upon what is presented. Silhouette is the first general thing I notice, Boobs, waist, hips, and legs. I don't do skinny, no pun; I like jiggly bits. Then comes the face. That is kind of less important. I have dated butter faces. It is the smile and the eyes that get me. There. I would walk through hell for a nice smile.

Then comes the scent. You subconsciously pick up cues from scent. Some pheromones, some indicators of general health, and some indicators of habits. As soon as I smell stale smoke I go limp so to speak. Smoking is a huge turn off.

Mind you she hasn't opened her mouth at this point.

Then She opens her mouth. This is end game. Does she sound smart? Intelligent? Opionated? Shallow? A lot of personality will present itself in conversation. I like a lot of humour and witty banter. I hate petty or hateful people; I loath shallow women who are more concerned with their material possesions then the world about them; I like to have intelligent conversation.

Get all that together and we're good.

TL;DR: Body, a little plump/above average, Mind/personality: Sweet and intelligent.
