I'm 10 years old and for forever I've been having paranormal things happening.My mom told me when I was 5 years old I was talking upstairs in my room like I was having a conversation with someone when she had asked me who I was talking to I said poppy but my poppy had died before I was born and my mom nore dad had told me about him.Then at 7 years old my mom showed me a picture of him and before she could say any thing I said poppy and my mom asked me how I knew that and I said he's my friend he's been my friend for a long time.

He's probably just watching over you, keeping you safe. Don't worry seems to be a friendly spirit.

When was the last time you saw him? I noticed in your other post you seem to hearing things and you mentioned seeing a large man? Was this a one time thing or does it happen frequently? Does your mom seem concerned at all?

Im just wondering if you are an only son!! Maybe your poppy was really looking forward to your mom having a child and he took it personally to see that even though he wasn't able to meet you in real life he came back to look after someone he was wating for when he was alive!! Don't worry his your guardian angel... you should be lucky that you got someone looking after you.

I hate to stomp on everybody's sentiment and wishful thinking. There are more options than it for sure being her guardian angel. There are a lot of spirits out there and very few should be openly trusted.
