Is it normal to be straight, but have gay thoughts?
I'm 17, and I'm aware that I'm straight. I like girls. But I gets these gay thoughts every once in a while. It's very weird and uncomfortable. I don't like it.

Yes it is normal, It is very common in teens, who are just getting used to their hormones, their emotions and their new sexual nature.

Not sure why you would think it is weird, with all of the gay relations we see on TV, in movies, being taught in society, it would be strange not to have some of those thoughts at time.

Yup, at 17 your sexuality is still very fluid. You're perfectly normal. Plan ahead to have replacement thoughts for when any unwanted thoughts come over you. Mentally do a certain math problem or mentally clean the bathroom. Don't fret. The more you obsess over this, the more upsetting any unwanted thoughts will be.

All teens go through it. Basically all girls have had lesbian thoughts multiple times in their lifetime. Same with guys. You always wonder, "What would it be like?" You know you like girls, so there isn't much of a problem. It wouldn't matter if you liked boys either. Hormones. They're crazy.
