First of all, if you don't mind me asking how old are you? And secondly, is anyone helping you with the feeding and care of these pups?
I only ask because handraising puppies is a time-consuming, difficult job.
Is the mother caring for them at all?
If she isn't the sad fact is that there may be a problem with the puppies.
Mother Nature has a way of letting Mom know very early if a pup is not healthy and will not survive.
Another thing to think about if she is not, would be that she herself may be sick and not feeling well.
So take a good look at her and see if you think she is acting strange or droopy, or not eating.
I realize that you say you cannot afford to take her to the Vet, but that may be the only true way to answer your questions.
In the meantime puppies will need to be fed about every 2 hours, make sure you keep using the puppy replacement milk.
Cows milk will not work, it will make them sick.
You will also need to make them poop and pee after every feeding. If your momma dog will do this, let her.
If not you need to get a paper towel or cloth and dampen it with warm water.
Rub their bottoms with the cloth, gently so that you do not make the skin raw.
You will also need to do with their penis to make them pee.
Mom does this by cleaning and licking them.
Make sure you keep them warm, a heating pad is fine for this just not to hot and keep a towel between the pups and the pad.
As far as getting mom spayed or fixed, call your local vet and ask about agencies that help families with this. Don't stop there call the humane society, and the shelter.
Just remember that these things don't always go well, and sometimes there is nothing you can do beyond what you are doing now.
Good Luck and keep us posted.

Well, I am certainly glad you have some help. Because lack of sleep is not fun for anyone.
So, since you said "them" I assume you are feeding all three.
You can keep trying and hope for the best or you could try to scrape together enough money to take him in to the vet. At the very least call them and tell them your situation. You never know what solutions they may offer.
I do wish you the best, it sounds like you are doing what you can.
As far as the mother goes, if she were properly spayed, there is no way she could have gotten pregnant.
All the reproductive organs are removed during a spay.
So I'm not sure what is going on there, but it seems that her former owner is mistaken or perhaps not entirely truthful. Whichever the case, she is not fixed.
    Good Luck again

    Just a quick note.
Being small the pups blood sugar can drop rapidly if they are not drinking enough milk or if too much time lapses in between feedings.
You can either call a vet and see if you can purchase some or keep something like Karo syrup on hand, if the pups seem to wane or get limp they may need extra sugar, just rub a small amount on their gums or under their tongue, if their suger level is low you should see almost immediate results.
Keep in mind that if your smallest one is a case of failing to thrive this may only be a temporary solution.
I really urge you to call a vet though, someone who could actually see the pup may be of more help to you than I.

Great posts LAdy Sam, not much more I can add here. Aside from call the vet, explain your situationand see if you can work out a payment plan or something that can help you.

Good luck and please keep us posted.
