I have a bag of Bob's Red Mill crushed flax seed in the refrigerator and want to know how long it will stay fresh and maintain beneficial properties.

Shelf life of flax seed, crushed or no is three years. It doesn't have to be kept in the fridge, but should be in a tightly closed container to keep it from dampness.
