I'm in my early 50 and gone through menopause, when I start having intercourse it gets raw appon entering and I show slight bleeding ,I've been to a general Dr and got examined for STD and things and say he sees nothing but won't refer me to a GYN . I try to use lube but keep wondering if there is another reason I feel raw at the initial entry

Most likely it is because of lack of lubrication. Once we hit menopause we lack the hormones necessary for self lubrication.

Continue using the lubrication, KY is a good one, they even have different sensations these days.
