I have a question every time I shave my pubic area I get ingrown hairs and razor bumps is there any way not to get them I tried other forms of hair removal but did not go very well and the ingrown hairs end up painful after a while till the hair is removed is there and was to get rid of them or pervent them

Make sure you are using sharp new razors. I have also found that using conditioner instead of shaving cream helps tremendously.

Yes and It caused worse razor bumps then shaving.

Also... are you african-american? It seems they suffer from that at a far higher rate due to the nature of the very tight curl to the hair.

Shaving cream is not the best thing to use, anyplace for a man or woman... what I have found is the absolute best... is a MENS Nivia triple action body wash... it is a soap, shampoo and shaving stuff all in one.. You wash well first, then slather this on... and use fresh blades... never make a second pass over bare skin, always smear on some more stuff between passes, oddly enough shaving your legs will wreck a razor faster than a guy shaving his face for some reason. Save another one for your legs... dedicate one JUST for the intimate area. The downside for the Nivia stuff is it's a bear to rinse off... you really need to be under a shower and use a wash cloth. Works even better than Fusion Shaving Gel which is the second best stuff I've found. Wife uses that too.

Also--use a single blade.

Any multiple blade razor is more likely to cause the razor burn and red bumps.

Noxema makes them in packages of a few, meant precisely for bikini areas. I have not had the red bumps since I switched to a single blade razor.

Ok... that helps to know. Try this immediately at the end of your shower or bath. Not at the beginning or at a different time.

Believe it or not a dull blade will do that far quicker than a sharp one will. Your hair will be softer as will your skin be if you do it at that point. And don't use the same razor or blade you use on your legs... and never pass the razor over skin that has nothing to lubricate it. Key is as few strokes as possible. I find if you go from left to right, then right to left, then up diagonaly to the left, then up diagonally to the right, and last from bottom to top, smearing the conditioner, or shave gel before the razor touches bare skin each change of direction. Rinse well with cool water and if you use a skin cream or moisturizer at that point you can. And don't do it every single day... do it at most once every 2 or 3 days until you get the technique down and your skin adjusts.

Maybe starting every 3 or 4 days and if you have no issues then step it up to every 2 or 3 days.

I had the same problem with shaving. You can use a solution called Tend Skin or other solutions that help fight ingrown hairs, but I just made my own which is a mixture or alcohol, witch hazel and crushed asprine. I learned about it on YouTube and it works! Every time I get out of the shower I use it and I started waxing which is so much more convenient than shaving.
