6 year old woke up glossy eyes, very out of it, unfocused, unable to stay awake
She fell asleep on the couch at 8pm. I woke her at 11pm. She wasn't very hard to wake, but once she stood up, it was the wierdest thing. She walked straight to the fridge and started pulling on it (it has a child lock for our 2yr old, but she acted like she had never opened this fridge before) I asked her what she was doing and she just staired at me. I asked her to go potty and get in bed. I followed her into the bathroom and watched as she almost feel off the toilet from not being able to stay awake. I got her up and into bed. I asked her what was wrong. No answer, just a glossy eyed, blank stair. At this point Im starting to get a little freaked out. I asked her to wake up and look at me. I asked her if she was awake, and did she remember trying to open the fridge, she shoke her head yes. I asked her if she had taken any medicine at school today, or eaten any candy from anyone, she said no. I asked her if she got into any medicine here at home, she said no. All this time she could hardly keep her eyes open, she keep falling forward and catching herself. Then she just laid her head in my lap. I laid her onto her pillow and told her that it was very important that she told me if she took any medicine or ate anything other than her lunch at school. I asked again did you take some medicine or something. Then she shook her head yes. She was still so out of it at this point I just let her fall asleep. She's had a cough for 2 day. She came home from school yesterday with a horse voice and the cough. It sounds wet today. She doesn't have a fever, or vomiting. She was just so out of it, when I got her up and Ive never seen her like that. When she got home from school yesterday I told her to take a nap at 5pm and she slept all night until 6:30am. Could she just be coming down with a Flu? Or is the almost "sleep walking/scary" thing a symptom of something else?

Of course she COULD be this or that, but she needs to see a doctor and you need to tell the semi-sleep walking story. What about when she nodded yes to taking some medicine? Have you checked all your cabinets, bottles of Nyquil or other cold remedies that make one sleepy? Have you asked her again?

Again, it could be nothing, it could be something. She might just have a cold and is extra tired from it. Give her doctor a call.

Exactly. While children can be a little goofy sometimes when they are woken up... that is concerning that she said she took some medicine. I suggest the doctor FIRST and the online questions/answer site SECOND next time. Get that kid checked out.

To me it doesn't sound like anything at all is wrong with her other than she was in a deep sleep for 3 almost 4 hours and then was woken up. I call it 'zombie kid' it doesn't sound like something is wrong here to me.
But absolutely take her to the doctor! I am NOT a doctor, just a mother, and I cannot even see your child in person, so take her to a doctor that can examine her.
