    Sore throat
Hi, I'm 16 years old have swelling in my throat, sore throat, ear aches, and occasional hot flashes. No Fever. Any clue of what it could be? Should I see a doctor?

What are your choices? Wait it out or see a doctor. You have noted physical abnormalities. Of course you should see a medical doctor, MD, that's what they do... or... wait it out.

Safer to see the old MD.

Can't hurt to see a doctor. He may still decide to do nothing. But you may get lucky. My tonsils and adenoids have been oversized and causing trouble my whole life. But doctors keep giving excuses as to why they can't remove them (apnea, sleep and wake) though it would actually be solved if they would TAKE THEM OUT LOL

Here is a home remedy, I am 11 and this works for me my brother and my mum as latley our throats have been really soar and have all had chest infections. All you do it boil some water in a cup then add 3 loaded TBS of honey into the water and 2 TBS of lemon it can be fresh or from a bottle mix it all up and the lemon will kill bacteria and the honey will sooth. Hope this helped. For now or for next time.
