Can lighting and receptacles be on the same circuit or should they be on separate circuits?
Yes they can one 15 amp circuit can have no more than 10 outlets or switch legs on it not a problem this is for a home dwelling yes ?
Depends on th location of these circuits. Kitchen counter,appliance and dining room outlet circuits can only have outlets, no lighting can be on them. Also, a circuit that handles outlets in mulitple bathrooms can have no lighting.
Otherwise, general purpose lighting circuits can have both lighting and receptacles on thoise circuits.
Having a mix of lighting and outlets or having more than one circuit in one room can have benefits thou. If one circuit has a problem, the other circuit can supply power and lights while the other circuit is repaired.
Having lighting separate from outlets will prevent large applainces from causing the lights to flicker.

2) If I supply the outlets for two bathrooms with one 20amp circuit can I then use adjoining bedrooms circuits (20amp) to supply lights and exhausts fans for the bathrooms. I know that I still have to stay within the 80% rule for these circuits.
