I know of a 44 year old female from Chicago usa... came to Canada about 5 years ago and married a Canadian citizen about 4 and half years ago she has been working here for over five years illegally.. she does not have her papers... who do I talk to about this and what should I do? Can anyone help me? We live in British Columbia Canada

In order for her to work in Canada she has to have a social insurance number. She can't get one if she's illegal. It's not like it is in the States. No employer hires without a social insurance number. Even employees working "under the table", have to provide a social insurance number.

What papers do you think she needs? She doesn't have to be a Canadian citizen to work in Canada.

Are you sure that she's illegal? It doesn't sound to me like she is.

I also have to ask why you're so interested in making trouble for this woman. What did she do to you to make you want revenge?
