    I live in Pennsylvania is a boy 10 and a girl 12 allowed to sleep in the same romm in an apartment in Washington county?

    The law doesn't say. Oh, it has PLENTY to say if a parent does it WRONG, but as long as nothing happens it's not illegal...

    It IS tempting fate, though, and not a real smart thing for THESE parents to do.

    Such laws are generally very local when they exist. They are usually used only to show abuse or neglect after the fact.

    However, those ages are both close to if not already in puberty. So it is really bad ages for them to be sharing a room. If this is your circumstances, I would look for a way to divide the room to give each some privacy.

    I would check with the local housing and children's services agencies to see if any laws exist.

    Its good for a family to trust their kids but the girl is going to start her life as a teenager and will want her own idenity and privicy. She will need her own room so maybe a wall to cut the room in half and then everyone's happy
