I bought a GE Profile dishwasher (inside is stainless steel) the only reason we paid so much for this dishwasher is because the salesman told us that the stainless steel would not hold odor. I don't know what it is, but we can never close the dishwasher otherwise the smell is deathly!! I have tried cleaners, lemons, baking soda,etc... the smell keeps coming back. Help>

If your DW was plumbed without a trap, sewer gas smell could be one answer. It coulld also be plumbed through the garbage disposal, very common, and the smell is emanating there. Can you see where the drain line is going?
