    Immigration law
Iam a Zimbabean citizen.Iam 26 years old.I came to South Africa in 2008 and I sought for assylum. The problem is I used my second name and my fathers surname.the opportunity for Zimbabweans to apply for passports in South Africa came and I had to use the names on my birth certificate which is a different name and my mothers surname and I did get a passport.I met a South African man and we fell in love and we got married and we have a 10 week old baby boy.I have a married certificate and have now applied for a spousal temporary permit.Whilst I was on assylum I was falsely accused for abduction and got arrested but the case was withdrawn after police investigations and I was never convicted but my fingerprints were taken at the police station.Am I not going to have problems with Home Affairs, and if yes how do I address this problem for I do need to stay in the country and take care of my baby and my husband.Iam desperate please help me.I know I made a stupid mistake but what do I do now.

    Abduction of whom?
Not impersonation? Mistake you say, but were you hiding some fact about yourself by using different names?

I don't know how many people on this site will know about South African asylum and citizenship. My suggestion would be to find a GOOD lawyer, even if just for 30 minutes of consultation to start.
It isn't clear how much information will be cross-referenced when your application for spousal permit is reviewed. If your asylum has to be part of the process, then I would GUESS that you would be advised to be honest now rather than later. If you don't have to be fingerprinted again for any application, then I can't imagine how they would enter into this.
But again, this is a job for the right kind of lawyer.
