I visited a solicitor today regarding the fact my ex partner has gone off with the children and I'm not sure where as she's stopped all contact , it has been arranged for me to attend court first thing in the morning. Does anyone know why it's happened so soon and what will happen at the first court hearing? I really am not sure about the process.

That would be something your solicitor should explain to you. If you cannot understand his/her explanation, ask him/her to explain it in simpler terms.

Right the solicitor should have explained. But likely its to obtain an emergency custody order so the police can go find her.
