This should be a question to call and ask the doctor. I personally would not recommend it without a doctor's permission.

One healthy way to rid her of constipation is to eat a lot of fruit. One of my favorites, that absolutley works WONDERS is dried apricots. They taste wonderful and work just as good as they taste.

Enemas are not generally advised for a pregnant woman. My doctor had advised me to use a gentle stool softener - NOT a laxative. Drink plenty of water and eat fruit - just like J_9 said. If your wife can do moderate exercise, great. Walking is good too.
