Here's the poop on my lawn tractor model # 917 272 672. It had been starting and running fine up to the point when I changed the mower belt in which I dropped the deck to change the belt. Once the belt was changed I reversed the process and when I tried to start it all I got was one click.

The battery is fairly new. It has to be something I did when dropping the deck?? Any thoughts, suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

One click only sounds like an electrical short that blew the fuse.

Make sure the deck engagement lever is all the way back,
Even if the battery is fairly new have it tested.
